Leeds life

Are you posting your bruges pictures now Alice? What about your wedding pictures? Are you updating us on where the next holiday is? Sorry everyone, but none of those updates are coming just yet. First, I have to talk about the events/adventures/mishaps in the wonderful place that is my home in Leeds.

"So how's your day going Alice?"
Well, I started feeling positive as I went to bed early last night, made myself a list and got organised ready for today and even managed to timetable to get back swimming today and made Sam and I pack up for the first time in ages.
"oh sounds grea-"
Then I somehow end up walking slow or something and I get to lecture late this morning. When I get there I'm so thirsty and go to drink my entire bottle of water only to find my first mouthful left me mostly eating limescale. Then I remember that I forgot my goggles and will have to walk all the way back home to get them before I can go swimming. I get home and remember that I only have a 20minute window to get back to the pool before my swimming session expires. So then I hurry up and, just as I go to leave realise my bag is soaking... The awful bottle of water has leaked everywhere! My new 400 page notepad is destroyed, my library book is destroyed, my new timetable I spent hours creating this weekend is destroyed. Also, I don't have a spare bag so have to empty this one and put the wet thing back on me as, at this point, I'm still carrying my swimming stuff and hoping I can swim all these stresses away if I hurry. So I go to leave and I lock the door and the gate and start walking and then this guy taps me on the shoulder and asks me to wait as he has my parcel. He then goes back to his van and takes over ten minutes finding our parcel making me far too late to now go swimming. My next window is 2 hours this afternoon I think I'll pop in for a quick swim at that point, then I get a call from work reminding me of an event I'm attending this afternoon right up until my lecture (and then right after my lecture I have to go to the dentist) so I realise I literally have NOT ANOTHER SINGLE MOMENT TO GO SWIMMING?!
So hows my day going? I've walked to and from uni twice in the space of 2 hours to get my goggles that I forgot, I'm dehydrated because my water bottle was gross, my new 400 page notepad is destroyed, I have to buy a new library book because that's also destroyed, hours of my weekend were wasted making a gorgeous timetable that is now mush (and now ill have to waste time making yet another one), my bag and coat and my back are so wet and making me so cold because of the winter weather in England and on top of all of that... I didn't even get to go swimming </3

Today has not started well to say the least, but it's safe to say its only going to get better because once you're at the bottom the only way is up right? (or at least that's what they say... Whoever "they" actually are)

Sorry this isn't my usual blog post, but I wanted to put this on here so I can look back in years time and remember the "adventures" that happened not just in other places around the world, but at home and at university too.

Hope your day is going better than mine! Love you all.

-Alice
